Rick was a fun guy with a great sense of humor I also remember he had a dial-in bulletin board - way before the internet. Rick was not a competitive person and was very easy to be around!

I am truly saddened to hear of Rick's passing. I grew up with Rick and we played in a number of bands during our school age years and I remember his mom always taking us to Stony Brook every weekend to "hang out" during the summer months. I have so many fond memories of Rick growing up that I could fill volumes of books with everything that we did. One of my fondest memories is having drums set up and keyboards in his basement and Rick learning the drum solo to "In a gadda da vida" by Iron Butterfly.. He played it over and over and over again lol. As life goes.. we lost touch over the years and I wish now we would have made an effort to stay in touch. He was a lot of fun and the memories I will hold on to forever. To all of his family and friends.. I pass on my sincerest and very genuine condolences. Godspeed Rick! Jon Watson
