Dansville- Russell "Russ" Granata age 82, passed away early Monday morning September 8, 2014, at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville.
He was born in Rochester on May 14, 1932, a son of the late Russell and Louise (Ange) Granata Sr. He was also predeceased by a grandson, Joshua Granata.
Russ was a Korea era US Army veteran. He was a lunch room monitor at the Dansville Central School for the past 16 years.
Russ is survived by his wife of over 56 years, Blanche Granata, his children, Mark Granata , Keith Granata and Serena Granata all of Dansville, and Richard Granata of Greece, two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Friends may call Wednesday from 4 to 7 pm at the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc. 271 Main St. in Dansville. Graveside military honors and interment will be held on Thursday at 11:00 am at Bath National Cemetery in Bath. Online remembrances may be left at HindleFuneralHome.com.
