Raubie had a way of making anyone feel at home when they came to Historical Aircraft Group. Always had a smile on her face no matter what. She was willing to drop whatever she was doing to talk if anyone came to her with a problem. On the few Fridays I made it down to the Museum, Raubie and I would talk alot. She would share stories with me about her and Eddie about what it was like when she first joined the Museum, she was very proud of how far it had come. I will miss my chats with Raubie and the smile on her face. She never stopped teaching. Thank you for everything you taught and shared with me Raubie.

Raublyn will be well remembered for many things but especially for her love of HAG and her smile. She was a delightful walking book of info on the birds housed here especially. She left a good mark on many peoples lives and she will be greatly missed.I take pleasure in having known this fine woman!

Raubie was the back-bone of the 1941 HAG and the definition of what it means to be a HAG member. I joined the museum when I turned 12, and she put me right to work as a tour guide. She saw my potential and kept after me to come each week and volunteer. Her persistence paid off, and I have really grown from knowing her. She was like a 3rd grandma to me. RIP Raubie, I will really miss seeing you every week. Thank you for all you did to get me where I am today.

I was saddened to read of the passing of Raublyn. We went through HS (DHS -50) and Geneseo (54) together. Can't remember when I last saw her but probably at one of the Reunions. Familiar with Kiehle Cem. as I go there every Mem. Day. Have a Kiehle GGMother. Bill Smith

I had the pleasure of volunteering one summer a the 1941 Historic Air Group's airshow. Assigned to the Gift Tent I met and worked with Raube. I also read her detailed description of the work at HAG in her newsletter column. Committed, dedicated, hardworking-she will be missed by anyone and everyone associated with the 1941 HAG. I am saddened by our loss.

Raubie was a bright light at the HAG museum, always there with a cheerful greeting when I dropped off my son through the years. I'm grateful for the way she took him under her wing as he "learned the ropes" at HAG. She had a sharp eye with that newsletter -- the teacher in her was always evident. I will miss her.

So sorry to hear of Robbie's illness and passing. I first met Robbie when Edna Werth, Robbie's Mother, was a nurse. We would go to their home and Edna Werth would give us injections when we needed them. I was just a child and can remember thinking Robbie was so beautiful. Then we grew up and moved away. Just in the last ten years we were reacquainted and have kept in touch.
We will miss her and her kind and gentle ways.

We knew Raubie from our visits to HAG and our grandson, Austin's connection there, and knew her to be a warm and caring person, an encourager of young people, and one dedicated to service. Raubie will be missed by all of us who knew her.

As dedicated as she was, she is still with us, even from where she is now. There's no doubt in my mind that she continues to do what she does best, except from a different angle and a totally different perspective. Her legacy at the HAG will forever remain in place and is something she leaves behind for us to build upon. In that respect, any and all work she could physically do is complete. We couldn't have possibly got to the point we are at now without her.
Thank you Raubie, and godspeed.

The next morning, I went to Shannon's high soochl and first did a presentation about my books and the history behind them. I had been told that many of the students in the group were not particularly fond of books but I found them to be an extraordinarily attentive audience. I was glad that I had my chattervox personal audio system because this presentation was in one section of a very large open concept library and the group of students was fairly large. Everyone could hear me though, and I didn't have to scream. After that presentation I did a writing workshop with one of Shannon's English classes plus her Young Writers Group. The kids were fantastic! So creative! There is nothing more energizing for me than to be in a roomful of creative people who are actively thinking and writing. After we brainstormed our characters and chose a setting, I gave everyone ten minutes to write a paragraph. Some students wrote a couple of pages! I was really impressed with the quality of what these kids wrote! Fabulous stuff. Shannon is doing a great job!In the afternoon, I went to the public soochl where Emily and Laura teach and presented to the grade 7 8 students. It was a fairly big group and was in the gym with very bad acoustics, so again I was glad that I had my chattervox. I asked how many kids hated reading and books and half of the kids put up their hands. I would never have guessed it by their enthusiasm though. These kids asked great questions and listened attentively and when I gave them their choice between hearing my excerpts (vomit, beating up, or abduction) there was a chanting contest between beating up and vomit. I read vomit first and then beating up and their response was every author's dream. They clapped enthusiastically and wanted more more more! After that presentation was over, I skedaddled (it was 3 already) because I wanted to get out of town before all the soochl buses started rolling through. All my way home, I listened to a book on CD but listened to the weather reports from time to time. I missed the big snow storm by just a little bit and I got home at 7pm.
