I truly loved Rev. Sheasley. He baptized me as a baby. I remember very fondly all my sundays at church growing up with his sermons. He alway had a smile and time to talk no matter if you were young or old. He had such wisdom and like my Grandpa Carney. I remember the lunches down stairs in the Sparta church and how welcoming he was to new members. He always had a hug for me when I saw him. Like Grandpa Carney Rev Sheasley taught me that the two most important things in life are Family and God. I can't imagine life without faith. I know that one day I will see him again and it will be a most joyous reunion with him and my Grandpa and Grandma Carney. I know right now he is in heaven talking with grandma and grandpa and looking down on all of us. We can say we have an angel watching out over all of us who knew and loved him. I will miss you Rev Sheasley. To his wife Norma and his children, grandkids and great grandkids. You were so lucky to call him Dad,Grandpa and Great Grandpa. He truly was a great man and I want to thank all of you for sharing him with us for so long. He will always be fondly treasured in my mind and all my memories even sweeter knowing how wonderful it truly was to know him. I am proud to say he baptized me and helped shape my younger years and teen years. I love you Rev Sheasley may you rest in peace and we meet again someday.

Ive spent alot of time thinking about what to say, as he would have done....He was a friend to my father, married several in my family, baptised my children and been there in support when my parents passed. Always a friend, a mentor, someone to talk to....he will be missed by all....Rest in peace...

It is way to hard to pick certain memories there are to many with him. I have the greatest respect for my uncle, he helped me find the strength and faith when I needed it most, I love him and my aunt both and will carry him in my heart the rest of my live. I will miss him dearly. I always loved to watch him and Aunt Norma dance.

Our thoughts are with you. We will always fondly remember Rev Sheasley. We were married in the Dansville United Methodist Church by Rev. Sheasley but what will be remembered most is what he said to my husband one day as he was leaving church. Eric was wearing bright red pants that day and caught Eric as he was leaving. He said "Nice pants!" Poor Eric thought he was being reprimanded and was appologizing for the bright color but Rev Sheasley said "Eric, God doesn't care what you wear to Church, just as long as you come"...It has stuck with Eric to this day and he passes this tid bit of information to everyone.
