My Heart is Heavy with Sadness upon learning of Mikes passing. I only knew Mike for a short time in his life but got to know the love and caring that was in his heart and soul. He worked for me at Mail Boxes Etc. on Park Avenue and was well liked and respected at the Store. May his Memory be a Blessing to all that knew him and I am sure that Mike is finally at rest with his Brother and his Mom and Dad. May God Bless him and Keep him Close.

Mike and I met in 9th grade, when the St. Mary's class joined the public school. My younger sister met Mike before me, probably from when her friend dated Mike. Every day during lunch in the cafeteria he mimicked every move I made while eating my lunch as he sat with his guy friends at another table across from the main aisle. Being a 9th grade girl, I was self-conscious about being watched so closely. Mike did this every day during lunch for the whole year. Mike and I became close friends as a result. In high school, my family moved to a house just down the road from Mike's house. We road the bus together most days, and other days we walked to or from school together. Mike treated my sister and I as his sisters, and was always there to look out for us. He actually treated several other females during his life as his sisters too, always being the one that listened with care and love. Mike was so compassionate, took care to listen fully, and always had good advice to offer. Through the years, even though we did not see each other much or talk on the phone frequently, the closeness never diminished at all. Each time we had the opportunity to talk, it was as if no time had passed in between. Mike truly cared for his friends, and he had many friends. I am heartbroken to lose Mike. Mike will be forever remembered, loved, and missed.

Sorry to hear of Michael's passing. I knew Michael in the early 90s in Geneseo. He's my oldest son's godfather. Such a smart and funny guy and a good friend. Godspeed, Michael. Rest easy, old friend.
