Dansville- Harold "Red" Edwards age 92, passed away unexpectedly Sunday morning November 28, 2021, at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville after being stricken at home. He was born in Dansville on December 15, 1928, a son of the late Albert and Mable (Kame) Edwards. On August 14, 1948, he was married to Geraldine "Geri" I. Rosinski, who predeceased him on August 21, 2013. He was also predeceased by a son Peter Edwards and a brother Albert Edwards. Red was a communicant of the Holy Family Catholic Community at St. Mary's Church in Dansville. He worked in the engineering department at the former Foster Wheeler Energy Corp in Dansville for 47 years. He was the longest member of the Union Hose Company of the Dansville Fire Department and the first member of the Dansville Ambulance Company. He was also a member of the Brae Burn Men's Golf Association. He is survived by his daughters Michele (James) Rose, Nancy (Mark) Quibell, a son Mark (Joyce) Edwards, and a daughter in-law Susan Edwards. Nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Saturday December 4 at 10:00am at St. Mary's Church in Dansville. Arrangements are by the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St. Dansville. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery Dansville. Online memorials may be made at HindleFuneralHome.com.
