Obituary of Leon A. Miller

Dansville- Leon A Miller age 87, passed away late Wednesday evening November 24, 2021, at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville following a brief illness. He was born in Springwater, NY on September 20, 1934, a son of the late Cecil and Margaret (Kady) Miller. On November 1, 1969, he was married to Belva Merkle Miller, who survives. He was also predeceased by a daughter Pamela Kemp and a brother James Miller. Leon was an Assembler and Repairman at Delco Products in Rochester for 40 years. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing, and in particular ice fishing at Lake Oneida. He especially loved his big backyard garden and shared his produce all summer with the family. He was a creative builder of countless gadgets, furniture and carpentry and was an all-around great Mr. Fixit right up until the end. He is survived by his dear wife of fifty-two years Belva; a daughter Deanna (William) Moore, a son Russell (Michelle) Butler, a son in-law Rick Kemp, grandchildren Justin (Morgan) Kemp, Brittany (Stuart) Blount, a great grandson Anderson "Andy" Kemp. Siblings, Dick (Sandy) Miller, Anna Mae Drake, Shirley (Alan) Corp, Brenda Buck and Roxie Miller, and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call Friday from 11:00am to 1:00 pm at the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St. Dansville, where services will be held at the completion of calling hours.
