Obituary of Phyllis Noelle Hayton

Dansville- Phyllis Noelle Hayton age 88, passed away early Monday morning November 22, 2021, at Taylor Health Center in Bath. She was born in Rochester, NY on December 15, 1932, a daughter of the late George and Maude (Morris) Harding. She was a 1950 graduate of Monroe High School. On November 13, 1954, she was married to Donald Hayton. They recently celebrated 67 years of marriage. Donald predeceased her just two days ago. She was also predeceased by her siblings, Marguerite Tannario, Georgina "Dawnie" Bruno, Dorothy Goodwin, Kathleen "Katie" Harding, Stephen, Ronald, Frederick Hill Harding, and Emma Pheby. She was a communicant of St. Peter's Episcopal Church where she was active with the St. Peter's Ladies Guild. She was also a member of the Friends of the Dansville Public Library. Phyllis had worked as a bookkeeper for Fred West Storage in Rochester. Phyllis loved books, as evidenced by her very full bookshelves. She enjoyed baking, crossword puzzles, her flower gardens, and watching birds in the backyard. Phyllis loved her grandchildren and took care of them during their early lives. She enjoyed spending time at Wegmans, the Dansville Library and the "Donut Shop". She was extremely proud of her British heritage. She is survived by two daughters Suzanne (Stephen) Leven and Sally Carrier, a son Brett Hayton, a brother Reginald "Bert" Hill Harding, a sister-in-law Valerie Harding, and her favorite nephew Thomas Bruno, four grandchildren: Rhiannon (Frank Molnar) Carrier, Seth Hayton, Christopher (Katelin) McDonald, and Jordyn Condrate, as well as two great-granddaughters, Sarah and Aurora and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call Sunday, November 28, 2021, from 1 to 3 pm at the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St. Dansville. Private interment will be with Donald at Bath National Cemetery.
