Obituary of Rebecca Jeanette Stevens

Dansville- Rebecca J. Stevens "Becky" age 84, went to be with her Lord and Savior early Friday afternoon November 5, 2021, at the Avon Nursing Home in Avon. She was born in Dansville on April 5, 1937, a daughter of the late William G. and Lillie May (Cheesbro) Paulman. On June 20, 1964, she was married to Donald Stevens, who predeceased her on January 13, 1997. She was also predeceased by a sister Florence Fuller and a brother Robert Paulman. Becky was a faithful and lifelong member of the Dansville Free Methodist Church. One of her greatest joys was singing. She often shared her talent at church. She was also the Sunday School secretary for many years. She worked a few different jobs but was mostly a homemaker. She enjoyed being a Senior Companion in her later years. Her talents include doing needlework, which graces many homes of people she knew. She also loved to do jigsaw puzzles and play Chinese checkers. Her grandchildren always put a smile on her face. She is survived by her son Bill (Cherie) Stevens of West Henrietta, a sister in-law Marjorie Paulman of Dansville, two grandchildren Donald and Sarah Stevens and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at the Dansville Free Methodist Church on Thursday, Nov. 11, 2021 at 1 PM with a calling hour at noon on the same day. Arrangements are by the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St. Dansville. Interment will be in Greenmount Cemetery, Dansville.
