Ossian- William Ward Walker age 76, passed away early Tuesday morning June 15,2021, following an illness at Noyes Memorial Hospital. He was born in Dansville on October 30, 1944, a son of the late Armond and Ruth (Linzy) Walker. He was also predeceased by his sister Patricia Baird. On June 29, 1968, he was married to Rhea-Jean (Lieb) Walker who survives. Bill was a Vietnam Era Veteran and he enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1966 and was station at Griffiss Air Force base in Rome, NY. He was employed by the United States Postal Service, working in the Dansville, and the Mt. Morris post offices, retiring in 2003. He loved buying and selling tools and anything with a “buck left in it”. Surviving Bill is his loving wife of 53 years Rhea-Jean, and their children, Zachery Walker, Jedediah (Maureen) Walker, 3 beautiful grandchildren, Cyrus, Dylan, and Winnie Walker, siblings, David (Terry) Walker, Nancy (Jim) Smith, several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends may call Friday June 18 from 11:00am to 1:00pm at the Hindle Funeral Home Inc. 271 Main St. Dansville, Full Military Honors to be presented at 1:00pm, Graveside service to follow in Ossian Center Cemetery.
