Ossian- Raymond G. Bertalon age 69, passed away Thursday May 27, 2021, at FF Thompson Memorial Hospital in Canandaigua. He was born in Hornell on August 4, 1951, a son of the late Charles and Dorothy Bertalon. On June 20, 1970, he was married to the former Helen (Jones) Bertalon. Ray was a man of great Faith! He served his Lord in many ways. His family was his number 1 priority, he wanted to leave a legacy of his works and that he did. Ray was a masterful talented welder and fabricator who enjoyed creating works of art. He was able to share his talents with others and even had a US Patented trailer hitch design. He was employed as the store manager at Jackson Welding Supply in Avon. Ray was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend to many. He is survived by his wife of fifty-one years, Helen (Jones) Bertalon; a son Craig (Tracy) Bertalon and a daughter Tina (Paul) Mahus; a sister Rissa (Andy) Polklinkowski, six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews Friends may call from 4-7 PM Friday JULY 30, 2021 at the Hindle Funeral Home Funeral Inc., 271 Main St. Dansville. A memorial service will be held Saturday July 31 at 11:00am at the Fresh Start Church, 34 Maple Street Hornell NY. A luncheon will follow at 2:00pm at the Heath Homestead 4760 Ossian Hill Road, Dansville. Online memorials may be at HindleFuneralHome.com.
