Obituary of Bernardine Schirmer Hoag

Conesus - Bernardine Mary Schirmer Hoag passed away peacefully at age 87, on Wednesday April 21, 2021 at the Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mt. Morris, following a brief illness. Bernardine was born in South Dansville on May 20, 1933 to the late William and Julia (Hemmer) Schirmer. She was married to Thomas Hoag, who predeceased her. She was also predeceased by a son James and her sister Anna Tremaine. She enjoyed embroidery, reading and visiting with family. She worked as a telephone operator for the Industry Residential Center in Rush, and also for the former Craig Colony in Sonyea. Surviving Bernardine are her children, daughter, Virginia (Terry) Marble, sons, Thomas E., Jr. (Mary Boite), Patrick (Patty O'Brien), and grandchildren, Nickole Prack, Ryan Marble and Sofie Hoag. She also leaves several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. A graveside service will be held on April 28, 2021 at 11AM in Holy Cross Cemetery in Dansville.
