Dansville –Theodora “Teddy” Katherine Ann Townsend Babcock, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, April 20, 2021, at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. Teddy was born in South Livonia, on July 29, 1937, a daughter of the late Erwin S. and Mable M. (Emmons) Townsend. She was also predeceased by her siblings, Linda, and Jack (Marcia) Townsend. On February 16, 1957 she was married to Gary C. Babcock who survives. Teddy loved her family dearly, she enjoyed family parties, reunions, and raising their three children. She enjoyed sightseeing, playing dominos, traveling, and camping. She was a member of the Ossian Presbyterian Church, a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose 1130 of Dansville, and the Genesee Valley Campers. Surviving in addition to her husband Gary, are their children, Belinda Rawleigh, Brett (Catherine) Babcock, and Beth (Kevin) O’Brien, her sister, Rebecca DeBurgomaster, 9 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren, several nieces, and nephews. Services will be private for her family. Arrangements by the Hindle Funeral Home, 271 Main St., Dansville.
