Mt. Morris/Dansville- Ramon Jansen Gilman age 80, passed away unexpectedly early Sunday morning December 27, 2020 after a brief illness. He was born in Dansville on August 7, 1940, a son of the late Raymon and Marion Gilman Stevens. Stepson of William Stevens. Ramon worked for Eastman Kodak for many years. His talent always being in the mechanic field. He was a Veteran of the US Air Force where his specialty was jet engine repair on Boeing B-52 bombers and KC-135 refuelers. He was a member of the Springwater American Legion. He is survived by his children Dawn Van Curan, Raymond (Chris) Gilman, Michelle (Tom) Ferguson, siblings, Gerald Gilman, Dr. Jack Gilman, and Patricia Verbjar; grandchildren, Joelle Van Curan, Jeffrey Van Curan, Nicole Ferguson, Stephanie Gilman and Megan Gilman a great granddaughter Elsa Van Curan and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held in Greenmount Cemetery, followed by full military honors. Dansville Arrangements are by the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc. 271 Main St., Dansville. Online remembrances may be left at HindleFuneralHome.com. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Lung or American Heart Associations.
