Dansville- Margaret B. Nolan age 84, of Sandy Hill Rd., in Dansville, passed away Thursday April 10, 2008, at the Vincent House in Wayland following a short illness. She was born in Allen, NY on May 18, 1923, a daughter of the late Clyde Patrick and Daisy Ellen Watkins. On February 16, 1946, she was married to Earl B. Nolan, who survives. She was also predeceased by siblings, Fred, Robert, John, Cliff, Patrick, Clyde, Lena Swartz, Mildred Fletcher and Mabel Cady, a special niece Dorothy Thompson Margaret was a former nanny in Hornell for many years. She folded and sewed parachutes during WW 11 in Canisteo. Margaret loved to take care of children, it showed in the amount of time she spent babysitting her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Her grandchildren called her the Perfect Grandma because she was always there for all of her family. Margaret is survived by a daughter, Joanne Smith of Dansville, a son, James (Judy) Nolan of FL. Seven grandchildren, James (Tammey) Smith, Tracy (Brett) Sterner, Robert (Yvonne) Smith, Christine (Ron) Miller, and their father James F. Smith Sr., Michelle (Jeff) Fairbrother, Dennis (Jessica) and Robbie Nolan, and their mother Sherry Phillips, twelve great-grandchildren, Danielle and Cody Smith, Jacob and Mason Sterner, Christopher, Samantha and Kaleigh Miller, Joshua Fronk, Kelsey Fairbrother, Ryan, Morgan and Mathew Nolan and sister Beatrice Wise of Hornell. Many nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Calling hours from 11:00 to 1:00 PM Monday at the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St., Dansville. Services will be held at the completion of calling hours, with the Rev. James Stevens officiating. Interment will be in Green Lawn Cemetery, Town of Dansville.
