Dansville- Gertrude K. "Trudy" VanDurme age 85 passed away Friday afternoon May 1, 2020, at home following a long illness.
She was born in Rochester on May 6, 1934, a daughter of the late Everett and Frances (Bohrer) West. She was also predeceased by her siblings, Barbara Bates, Dorothea Mauro, Everett and Lawrence West.
Trudy was a salon owner and hair stylist for many years, she also retired from Wegman's in Geneseo, NY.
She is survived by her children, Michael Edwards, Tamelia McTarnaghan, Leslee (Jeremy Blackmon) VanDurme. Seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
A life celebration will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St. Dansville. Online memorials may be left at HindleFuneralHome.com.
Her family and friends loved her dearly and she will be greatly missed.
