Dansville- Gail Marie Emerson Boor, age 84, passed away early Wednesday morning, March 11, 2020 at Noyes Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. She was born in Bolivar, NY on February 12, 1936, a daughter of the late Lewis and Harriett (Moyer) Emerson. Gail was also predeceased by 6 siblings. On May 22, 1954 she was married to Sheldon Boor who survives. Gail worked several jobs in her lifetime; at a candy factory, as a caterer, a waitress and finally as a home health aide. She enjoyed traveling with her husband Sheldon, and was a cub scout den mother for her son Dennis. Above all she loved spending time with her family and gardening. In addition to her husband Sheldon, Gail is survived by her children, Dennis (Suzanne) Boor, Shelley (Robert) Schaeffer, Shawn Boor, grandchildren, Jessica (Duane) Purvis, Monica (Anthony) Jarzyna, Kimberly Schaeffer, Casey Boor, Kaitlyn Schaeffer, Abigail Boor, Alisyn Boor, Matthew Schaeffer, great-grandchildren, Cassidy and Vivian Purvis, Myles and Tytus Jarzyna, a sister Anna Jane Rought. Services will be private for the family, interment will be in Greenmount Cemetery Dansville.
