Obituary of Adelia May Bowen

Dansville- Adelia May Bowen age 91, passed away Wednesday afternoon January 22, 2020, at the Vincent House in Wayland. She was born in Rochester, NY on March 4, 1928, a daughter of the late Morley and Jessie (Poinan) Barnhardt. She was also predeceased by a son Gary Bowen, a son in-law William Kennedy and siblings, Rosemary Cassono, and Delbert, James and Ethel Barnhardt. Adelia was a former machine operator at Stever Lock’s in Honeoye Falls. She was the former secretary for over thirty years of Friends Unlimited in Wayland. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening and working in her yard. She was an avid walker in her life, participating in the 5k Vincent house walkathons, in her 80s. She is survived by her children Kim (Bonnie) Bowen of Cohocton, Delores Kennedy of Bradford, Laura Morgan of Dansville, Linda (Jack) Moyer of Wayland, and Diana (Jim) Gray of GA, eleven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call Saturday February 1st from 10:00am to 11:00am at the Hindle Funeral Home Inc. 271 Main St. Dansville where services will be held at the completion of calling hours.
