Obituary of Louise G. Graves

She was born in the Town of Ossian, on March 30, 1930, a daughter of the late Clarence and Helen Price Gross. On June 26, 1948, in St. Patricks Church in Dansville she was married to Gerald Graves, who survives. She was also predeceased by her siblings, Doris Morretti, George, Leo and Duane Gross. Louise was former member of the Daniel Goho Post # 87 of The American Legion Auxiliary. She attended St. Michaels Catholic Church in Rochester. She enjoyed candy making, baking, sewing and growing African violets. Surviving in addition to her husband Jerry, are two daughters, Catherine (Terrence) Popp, Karen Eckert, both of Chili, and a son, James (Mary) Graves, of Fl. Two sisters, Ardeth (Kenneth) Wensel, of Dansville, and Cheryl (James) Foxworth, of Rochester, seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. There will be no prior calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 2:00 pm at St. Marys Catholic Church in Dansville. Interment will be in Greenmount Cemetery, Dansville. Arrangements are by the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St., Dansville. Contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association, 435 East Henrietta Rd., Rochester, NY 14620. The family of Louise Graves wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to the 2nd and 3rd floor staff at the LCCFNR for the exceptional care given to them over the past several years.
