Obituary of Doris Marie Perry

Dansville- Doris Marie Perry, age 88, passed away on August 25, 2018, in Ft. Myers, Florida following an Illness.

She was born in Williamsport, PA   on June 11, 1930, a daughter of the late Alvin and Alpharetta Reeser. On January 29, 1949 she was married to Gerald Perry who predeceased her in 2011. She was also predeceased by a sister Mildred Lovullo, and two brothers Alvin and George Reeser, as well as grandson, Philip Perry.

Doris worked at the concession stand in Stony brook for several years, and also ran and operated Gerry’s Dairy Bar for 25 years. She was a communicant of the Dansville Presbyterian Church, and was part of the Brae Burn Women’s Golf Team.  Doris loved traveling, tending to her flowers and spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving Doris are her children, Diane Sauerbier of Dansville, James (Jane) Perry of Cape Coral Fl., a sister, Katherine (Donald) McGovern of Tupelo, Mississippi, her grandchildren, Brian Sauerbier, Matthew (Heather) Sauerbier, Kevin (Dawn) Sauerbier, Jillian (Jake) Feldman and Jacqueline Miller, great-grandchildren, Perry Miller, Brantley Miller,  Kinsley Sauerbier, Mason Sauerbier, and Madison Sauerbier.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday June 22, 2019 at 10:00 am at the Hindle Funeral Home Inc. 271 Main St. Dansville, NY.
