Obituary of Donald Traxler

He was born in Dansville on November 9, 1928, a son of the late Seward and Ethel (Carney) Traxler. He was also predeceased by two sisters Inez Kreiley and Neva Ratcliffe. On June 4, 1949, he was married to Wilma (Learn) Traxler who survives. Don was a dairy farmer for many years on the Traxler Farm on Vista Hill Road in Sparta. He had also worked for the former Agway Store in Dansville. He was a retired bus driver for Lat's Transportation Services. He was a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Dansville. A member and Past Master of the Phoenix Lodge # 115 of the F&AM of Dansville and the Dansville Grange. Surviving in addition to his dear wife Wilma, are his five children, Kathi (Andy) Blaise, Audrey (Bill) Huver both of Sparta, Nancy (Bill) Faulds of Dansville, Laurie (Bob) Carpella of Lima and Jim (Dawn) Traxler also of Sparta. Twelve grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Monday, from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc. 271 Main St. in Dansville. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 am at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Dansville. Interment will be in Greenmount Cemetery, Dansville.
