Obituary of Eric A. Holbrook

Dansville- Eric A. Holbrook age 54 passed away late Wednesday evening November 21, 2018 at home following an extended illness.

He was born in Dansville on April 6, 1964, a son of George Daniel and Barbara (Bauer) Holbrook. He was also predeceased by a brother Corey Daniel Holbrook and a nephew Jacob Robert Welch. On October 20, 1990, he was married to Deborah Mauro Holbrook who survives.

Eric was the kind of man that you couldn't help but like once you met him. He learned to be a hardworking, kind and respectful man from him Mom and Dad. He was a loving son and brother, a wonderful husband and a great dad and stepdad, and grandpa, brother-in-law, uncle and friend to so many. He was an animal lover and through the years he had many, many fur babies to love. He loved to hunt and had many years of memories hunting with family and his friends. He loved to be outside with nature, camping, hiking, canoeing, climbing frozen waterfalls, riding motorcycles, skiing, swimming are just of few of the things he enjoyed. His passion was in the mountains, he loved being in them, they would call to him to come. Every year he would go on a two-week camping trip to just be alone with God and enjoy the beautiful wilderness that he created. Above all else Eric, Loved the Lord, it showed in all of his actions and words, it permeated from his very being. His faith NEVER wavered, he never asked "why me?" instead he would say "Why not me?"......

He is survived by his devoted wife Debbie; children, Danielle Clark, Daniel White and Jason (Shelley Collier) White; grandchildren Evelyn and Aurora Clark; mother and father Danny and Barb Holbrook; sister Rebecca Thompson; niece and nephew, Cori (Peter) Brownell and James Meter. Debbie's family Dee Dee Briggs, Diane (Keith) Haywood, Dennis (Tracy) Mauro, Denise Mauro and Dave (Cherri) Mauro.

Friends may call Thursday from 4 to 7 pm at the Dansville Free Methodist Church where memorial service will be held Friday at 11:00am. Arrangements are by the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc. 271 Main St. Dansville. Online condolences may be left at HindleFuneralHome.com
