My deepest condolences to the family of Mr. Kelly. Living next door to the Kelly’s on Clinton Street was such a warm and wonderful experience. Bill and Dolly were so welcoming! Each day I would get a sidewalk wave from Mr. Kelly and a “Hello, Neighbor!” Very often we had engaging conversations. Mr. Kelly impressed me.... and certainly left an indelible impression within my heart.
Marie, I am so very sorry for your loss.

To Bob Kelly and all other family members of this great man,
Bob-as one of your classmates at Dansville High class of ‘77, please accept my deepest sympathy and condolences to you and your family at this difficult time. Your Dad was, and is, an amazing man that I’m sure so many others looked up to. His military service to our country stands as a monument to the man himself, especially noted as we approach this Veterans Day, and his community service to Dansville is outstanding. I am very sorry for your loss.
Most Sincerely,
Steven Fries

I was one of those teenagers employed at Kelly Brothers Nursery. I credit my knowledge of zip codes to that summer job! I also had the privilege of babysitting the Kelly children and caring for their grandparents at family gatherings. My driveway in Ohio is lined with beautiful Silver Maple trees from Kelly Brothers Nursery. I shall always treasure them.
Bill was a kind, encouraging, gentleman. He once told me I'd be a wonderful wife and mother. It meant a lot to me. I was blessed to know him and Dolly.
May your precious memories and those shared by all Bill touched be a great comfort to you now. You are in my prayers. God Bless.

Our family have known the Kelly families for over one hundred years I personally have played with Bill's kids and his brother Johns children it seems like most of my child hood in the 60's and 70s great people...My thoughts of recent years when his attended a nice lady would walk Bill around the block Clinton to Seward and by my house by the creek on clay street...He would notice me me in my wheelchair and force the attendant to stop so we could talk of life and times we knew...Bill would tell her all about me and our family I still can't believe how he remembered all that wow...we'd talk about the nursery and when his mother's house caught firer down on clay street just anything and everything...until I'd see his attendant would be getting tired but not Bill so Would cut short the conversation and we'd say goodbye till the next time I'd say that was Mid September...Quite the guy...His sprite is welcomed at my house anytime...So long Bill...

I met Bill and Dolly Kelly in the 1970’s at The College of Wooster where Marie and I were friends and in the marching band together. Bill and Dolly were always warm and friendly every time I saw them. And any time I came to Dansville for a visit they opened their arms and home with big smiles! Both were wonderful people!
