Obituary of Dorothy A. Folts

Dansville – Dorothy A. Folts age 97, passed away early Monday morning October 29, 2018, at the Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mt. Morris following a lengthy illness.

She was born in South Lima NY, on May 25, 1921, a daughter of the late Joseph and May Emma (Waggoner) Baker. On September 27, 1947, she was married to John “Jack” Folts who predeceased her on December 5, 2000. She was also predeceased by a granddaughter Danielle Marie Dugo, siblings, Alberta McGann, Leola King, Alta Weld, Arlene Wisniewski, Robert, Stanley, Russell, and Oswald Baker.

Dorothy was a longtime bank teller in the Dansville community, working for Union Trust, Merchants and Farmers, Marine Midland, Security Trust and the Groveland State Bank.  She was a member of the Dansville United Methodist Church. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time babysitting her grandchildren, knitting, garage sales and meticulously taking care of her home on Jefferson St.

She is survived by her two daughters, Karen (Marlow) Henry and Lisa (Mike) Dugo both of Dansville; grandchildren, Shawn Henry, Jared Henry, Jeremy (Jessica) Dugo, Brandon Dugo and Nicole Dugo, two great granddaughters, Adrianna and Mila Dugo, a brother Rodney (Carolyn) Baker and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Wednesday from 2 to 6 pm at the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc. 271 Main St. Dansville, where services will be held Thursday at 11:00 am. Interment will be in Greenmount Cemetery, Dansville. Online condolences may be left at HindleFuneralHome.com
