Obituary of Wolfgang E. Kroh
Dansville- Wolfgang E. Kroh, age 92, passed away peacefully Sunday Morning October 21, 2018 at Highland Hospital in Rochester.
A longtime resident of Dansville, recently living in Fairport, He was born in Königsberg, Germany on October 29, 1925. Wolf came to United States after serving as an ordinance officer and interpreter for the Royal Air Force after WWII. He left Germany in 1956 and arrived in Dansville Via sponsorship by the Lutheran World Federation and St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. He worked for many years at the local A&P grocery store and finished his career with Ra-Pid-Gro. Wolf enjoyed reading, tendering the park like setting of his home, daily visits from close friends, and photography. He left an impact on those who came to know him with his warm smile and greeting, love of laughter, and concern for others. He became a naturalized citizen in 1963.
Survived by his wife of 61 years, Ursula (Kuch); Married at St. Paul’s Lutheran church on April 21, 1957. He is also survived by his in-laws, Lieselotte (Kuch) and Franz Joseph Schmitz, a niece Renate Schmitz, of Aachen, Germany.
