Obituary of Rodney Lavern Crane

Conesus- Rodney Crane age 76, passed away at his home in Conesus Monday night October 8, 2018 following an extended illness. 

He was born in Dansville, on October 19,1941, a son of the late Gordon and Neeta (Marble) Crane. He was also predeceased by his siblings, Rosalyn Carney, and Roger Crane. On June 28, 1969 he was married to Carol (Shea) Crane who survives.

He worked at General Rail Signal for 21 years, he then went to work as a Plant Manager for Barthelmes in Rochester. He was active in the Conesus American Legion Post 1779, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and traveling. Rodney enlisted in the Air Force in 1961, he was stationed in Thailand during the Vietnam war. He was Honorably discharged in 1964.

Surviving Rodney is his loving wife of 49 years Carol, their children, Randy (Erin) Crane, Colleen (Trinity Yackley) Crane-Yackley, Brian (Tonya) Crane, a sister, Barbara (Roy) Bailey, Grandchildren, Joshua, Rebekah Crane, Tyler Kaczmarek, Samantha Zotara, Chaundacey Crane-Yackley

Friends may call Thursday October 11, 2018 from 5:00pm-8:00pm at the Hindle Funeral Home Inc. 271 Main St. Dansville, NY 14437. Interment with full military honors will be in Bath National Cemetery on Friday October 12, 2018 at 11:00am. Online memorials may be at HindleFuneralHome.com.
