Dansville- Jo Ann Donovan age 85, passed away early Monday morning October 8, 2018 at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville following a long illness.

 

She was born in Rochester, on December 24,1932, a daughter of the late Edwin A. and Ruth (Ricey) Stein. She was also predeceased by her husband Francis E. Donovan Sr. and a brother Edwin A. Stein Jr.

 

She worked as a pharmacy assistant at Smither Long Pharmacy in Buffalo. She enjoyed gardening, gambling, spending time with her family, cooking, and raising both Great Danes and Doxin dogs.

 

Surviving Jo Ann are her children, Diane (Henry) Shepherd of Dansville, Francis Donovan Jr. of Dansville, Lane Racett of Florida, Susanne Partridge of Dansville, and Ruth (Robert) Walker of Florida, a brother, John Stein of Florida, 7 Grandchildren, 2 Great-Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

 

Friends may call Friday October 12th from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St. Dansville, A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday October 13th 11:00am at St. Mary’s Church in Dansville. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery Dansville. Online memorials may be at HindleFuneralHome.com.
