Sparta- Marion A. Stead age 90, passed away on her sister Flossie's birthday Sunday afternoon July 15, 2018, at the Conesus Lake Nursing Home in Livonia, where she had been a resident for the past year.

She was born in Unadilla, NY on April 11, 1928, a daughter of the late Theron and Carrie (Gage) Fisk. On September 12, 1948, she was married to Donald J. Stead, who predeceased her on June 4, 2012. She was also predeceased by a daughter in-law Joan Stead and a sister Florence Miller..

Marion was a past member of the Dansville Presbyterian Church and a volunteer for the Livingston County Chapter of the American Diabetes Association. In her free time she enjoyed reading.

She is survived by her daughter, Julie (Frank) Guillaume, two sons, Richard Stead and David Stead; three granddaughters, Sarah (Brian) Lenhard, Alison Stead, and Fille Guillaume; two sisters Leta Williams and Joan Northrop.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc. 271 Main St., Dansville. Interment will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery, West Sparta. Online remembrances may be left at HindleFuneralHome.com.

Memorials may be made to the Dansville Presbyterian Church, 3 School St. Dansville, NY 14437.
