Obituary of Elizabeth Jean Forsythe

Dansville- Elizabeth Jean Forsythe age 87, passed away late Saturday evening November 11, 2017, at Unity Hospital in Rochester following an illness.

She was born in Dansville, on July 12, 1930, a daughter of the late Percy and Dorothy (Kiefer) Holdridge. She was also predeceased by her husband, Dwight Forsythe who she married on July 17, 1948, and her children, Richard and Deborah Forsythe.

Elizabeth was an active person in South Dansville Community, she was a member of the South Dansville United Methodist Church, the Gathering Place, and the South Dansville Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed cooking, baking, birds and cats. She was a cosmetologist in her free time. Liz worked at the Midtown Motel in Dansville for many years. 

Surviving Liz are her children, Michael (Marlene) Forsythe, David (Teresa) Forsythe, and Kathy (Joseph) Stein, a sister, Barbara (Francis) Howe, 9 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and other family.

Friends may call Wednesday from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm at the South Dansville United Methodist Church, where services will follow with Pastor Gregory White officiating.
