Obituary of Joyce Ann Farnum

She was born in Angelica, on March 2, 1928, a daughter of the late Joseph and Nel (Fanning) Daley. On January 29, 2005 she was predeceased by her loving husband Lionel, whom she was married to on September 2, 1948. Joyce worked as a cafeteria employee for Sonyea, and the Dansville Central School District. She loved knitting, quilting, and participating in arts and crafts. She was a member of the foxy ladies. Joyce was the director of the Dansville Area Community Food Pantry for several years. She was a recipient of the Robert J. Uplinger award from the Dansville Lions Club for outstanding community service. She was a communicant of the Holy Family Catholic Community at St. Mary's Church in Dansville. She is survived by her two children, a daughter, Joan (Anthony) Bianco of Rhode Island, a son, Paul Farnum of Dansville; three granddaughters, Jennifer (Brad) Hudson, Katelyn, and Angelica Bianco; and a grandson Bryan Farnum. Friends may call Sunday from 4 to 6 pm at the Hindle Funeral Home Inc., 271 Main St. Dansville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Dansville. Interment will be in Until the Days Dawn Cemetery in Angelica.
