Dansville/Scottsburg- Virginia Harris age 80, passed away Saturday evening August 10, 2013 at the Livingston County CFNR in Mt. Morris, where she had been a resident for a short time. She was born in Hornell on May 17, 1933, a daughter of the late Willis and Ida (Covert) Mesler. On August 19, 1951, she was married to Robert Harris who survives. She was also predeceased by her siblings, Elden Mesler and Eleanor Rushmore. Ginny was a seamstress at the Gunlocke Chair Company in Wayland for twenty five years retiring in 1993. In her free time she enjoyed sewing, crocheting and crafts. Surviving in addition to her husband Robert, is a son, Hugh Jones Jr., of Wisconsin and a step-daughter, Nancy (Dana) Herring of Scottsburg, siblings, Phillip Mesler, Duane Mesler, Joan Brooker and Faith Hovey, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Virginia request no services or calling hours will be observed. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Scottsburg. Arrangements are by the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St., Dansville. Online remembrances may be left at HindleFuneralHome.com Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
