Dansville- James A. MacDonald Sr., age 73, passed away Monday February 13, 2017, at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville, following a lengthy illness.
He was born in Cohocton, NY on August 20, 1943, a son of the late Harold and Evelyn (Reed) MacDonald. He was also predeceased by his siblings, Myrtle Wagner, Earl, Fred, Robert and Charles MacDonald.
He was a member of the Hemlock Sportsman Club, the Springwater Legion and the Dansville Moose Club.
He is survived by his children, Kelly Capozzi, Christine Neary and James (Stacey) MacDonald, his former wife and friend Judy (Harold) Culbertson, six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 am at the Dansville Presbyterian Church. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Scottsburg. Arrangements are by the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St. Dansville. Online memorials may be at HindleFuneralHome.com.
