Obituary of David B. Smith

Dansville- David B. "Dave" Smith age 59, died unexpectedly Friday January 20, 2017. He was born in Dansville, on June 4, 1957, a son of Castle and Margaret Weymouth Smith. He was a friend to many and he very much enjoyed the last several years working at Mt. Morris Central School. He was always there to help his friends and family and loved his sports. Dave also coached Dansville Little League for many years and was proud to tour the competitive racing circuit with his son Matthew as he raced with the Rochester Rookie racing team. Survived by his wife, Dawn and son, Matthew, mother Peg, brothers, Doug (Nancy), Howard (Teresa), Bob (Robbin) and many nieces and nephews and his beloved dog Chloe. Predeceased by his father Castle. The family will celebrate Dave’s life at the Union Hose Clubhouse, 66 Elizabeth St., in Dansville, on Tuesday January 24, 2017 from 4:00-8:00 PM. Interment will be in Greenmount Cemetery, Dansville. Arrangements are by the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc. 271 Main St., Dansville. Online remembrances may be left at HindleFuneralHome.com.
