Obituary of Richard D. Burger

Dansville-Richard D. "Dick" Burger age 78, passed away early Saturday morning December 3, 2016, at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. He was born in the South Dansville on January 7, 1938, a son of the late Donald and Virginia (Reynolds) Burger. On June 6, 1959, he was married to Patricia "Patty" (Mackey) Burger, who predeceased him on July 13, 2000. He was also predeceased by his siblings, Ruth Muchler, Reva Burger, Ronald Burger, and his step father William Stevens. Dick was a truck driver for Shay's Services for over thirty-years. He was also a Mac Tool Distributor for many years. He was a Communicant of the Holy Family Catholic Community at St. Mary's Church in Dansville. Dick was a gentlemen that loved and respected his family and his many friends. He was a member of the Dansville Fish and Game Club and the Men's Golf Association at Woodlyn Hills in Nunda. He is survived by a daughter, Rhonda (Rob) Matthews; a son, Randy (Cheryl Kuiawa) Burger; three grandchildren, Rob (Stephanie) Matthews, Steven (Heather) Matthews and Chelsea Matthews; four great-grandsons; siblings, Rita (Kenneth) Stanley, Roxanne (Michael) Underwood, R. John (Mary) Burger and Rodney (Sandy) Burger; many nieces, nephews and his dear sweetheart Bonnie Olsen. Friends may call Tuesday from 4 to 7 pm at the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc. 271 Main St., Dansville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11:00 am at St. Mary's Church in Dansville.
