Dansville-Margaret S. Scott age 86, passed away Sunday afternoon November 27, 2016, at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville after being transferred from the Livingston County CFNR in Mt. Morris.
She was born in the Town of Cohocton on September 27, 1930, a daughter of the late Cletus and Clara (Fox) Schneider. On June 8, 1951, she was married to Howard Monroe Scott, who predeceased her on March 31, 2011. She was also predeceased by her brother, John Devney.
She is survived by two daughters, Suzanne Povosky of Hornell and Catherine Emmerick of Texas; a granddaughter, Joy Ladue, and son Noah of Brighton; six additional grandchildren, four additional great-grandchildren; a sister Marjorie Crowell and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements by Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St., in Dansville. Online remembrances may be left at hindlefuneralhome.com.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to your local Humane Society.
