Dansville- Gerald L. Shute age 93, passed away Sunday morning September 18, 2016 at the Bath VA Hospital.
He was born in Dalton, NY on April 19, 1923, a son of the late Lewis and Neva (Dorey) Shute. He was also predeceased by his brothers Howard, Delbert, and Harold Shute.
Gerry served in the US Army during WWII, he was awarded a Bronze Star Medal, and a Purple Heart Recipient. He owned and operated Jerry’s Restaurant in Dansville for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Thelma, his son, James (Ashley) Shute, and a daughter, Carol Shute
Gerald will be interred in Bath VA Cemetery.
