Obituary of Christopher Mann

Christopher John Mann, age 42, went to the Lord surrounded by family and friends on August 24, 2016, in Bakersfield, CA. He was born in Dansville N.Y. on August 18, 1974, a son of the late John Mann and Nancy Weidman Ehler. Chris graduated from Dansville Senior High in 1992. He served six years in the US Navy as a nuclear mechanic on the aircraft carrier, John C. Stennis. He worked for Varner Brothers for eight years as a safety manager and then as a home based safety consultant. He was a member of the VFW and an avid NY Yankees and Oakland Raiders fan. But most of all enjoyed spending time with his sons, family and friends. He is survived by his mother, Nancy Ehler, of Watkins Glen N.Y., two sons, Luke Mann, Noah Mann, Bakersfield, CA, two brothers, Matthew (Amanda) Ehler and Eric Mann, two sisters, Casey Mann, and Lacey Ehler, his grandmother, Charlotte Evers, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Chris will be remembered and missed by all as he touched the hearts of many. A Memorial Service and Celebration of Life, and Full Military Honors for Chris will be held at the Dansville, NY American Legion on Saturday November 26, 2016 from 1 to 5pm. All that knew and loved my son are welcome.
