Obituary of Charles Raymond Hazlett

Dansville - Charles Raymond Hazlett age 78, passed away on Wednesday May 22, 2013, at home. He was born in Apollo, PA on March 17, 1935, a son of the late Charles Clark and Hilda Ruth (Smith) Hazlett. He was also predeceased by a brother Harry. Ray was a carpenter buy trade and was self employed over the years doing furniture repair and upholstery. He was a member of the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Geneseo. Ray was a US Navy veteran and member of the Daniel Goho Post #87 of The American Legion. He is survived by four children; Joyce Ebert of Hornell, Keith Hazlett of West Sparta, Connie Benner of AZ, and Austa Rogers of Dansville; step-children, Thomas Rogers of FL and Edward Rogers of Nunda; siblings, Donald Hazlett of DE and John Hazlett of OK; seven grandchildren and a great-grandson, and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service followed by full military honors will be held on Friday May 31 at 1:00 pm at Bath National Cemetery, Bath, NY, with his son in-law Jeffrey Benner officiating.
