Dansville- Elizabeth E. "Betty" Howe 97, passed away early Monday morning November 30, 2015, at Woodside Manor in Rochester. She was born in Berlin, MD on June 24, 1918, a daughter of the late Charles E. and Alice (Knowlton) Babcock. On October 14, 1939, she was married to Dorr V. Howe, who predeceased her in 1997. She was also predeceased by her son John, and siblings, Emily Gates, Carolyn Bondi, Robert and Charles Babcock. Betty was a seventy-five year faithful member of the Dansville United Methodist Church, and the United Methodist Women. She had also volunteered for the Rochester Blood Bank, on Blood Drives, for many years. She was also Dental Assistant for Dr. Charles Calder DDS, for fifteen years. She is survived by her daughter, Faye (Robert) Fredrick of Rochester, a grandson Mark (Jennifer Sypnier) Glover of Rochester, step grandson Robert P. (Theresa) Fredrick and family of Rochester, great-grandchildren, Christine Elizabeth and Nicholas Dorr Glover, a brother in-law Dick Bondi, sister in-law Betty Howe, and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Thursday from 2:00 to 5:00pm at the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St., Dansville. A funeral service will be held Friday at 11:00am in the Dansville United Methodist Church. Interment will be in Greenmount Cemetery, Dansville. Online remembrances may be left at HindleFuneralHome.com. Betty's family wishes to thank the caregivers at Morgan Estates in Geneseo and Woodside Manor in Rochester for the special care they gave to her during her final years.
