I remember George Bancroft as being one of the kindest and hardest working men I have ever known. Some of my fondest memories are of being a child in the 50’s & 60’s and spending the holidays with the Bancroft family, memories that will never be forgotten. You will truly be missed uncle George!

George was a great guy, I enjoyed talking with him very much about the old days and his Belgium's. He always had a smile. I'll miss George.

We feel blessed to have known such a great man. He was a hard worker, a devoted husband and a beloved friend to all that had the privilege to meet him. He had stories that warmed ones heart and made you realize just how fortunate he was to have lived such a full life. Every time we go up Derrenbacher Lane we will wave. Love you George!

Iam so sorry to hear this. My family will keep you all in our prayers. George was a wonderful man and I enjoyed so much coming to see those wonderful sheep when my brother Larry worked for you MANY years ago. Larry also sends his condolences as he now lives in Lousianna and would not be able to come up. Keep the love going in this wonderful family.

I had the pleasure of meeting "grandpa" a couple of times while visiting Dansville with Tammy Nagle Meints. I remember being at the farm house and hearing stories about when Tammy was a young girl helping him castrate sheep. It was evident to me that he was a remarkable man.
