Obituary of Helen Rita Rosebrugh

Dansville- Helen Rita Rosebrugh, 97, passed away October 22, 2015, at Avon Nursing Home where she had resided since 2008. She was born in Geneseo on December 13, 1917, a daughter of the late James Francis and Clara O'Hara Eagan. She grew up on West Lake Road in a Victorian home overlooking Conesus Lake where her father farmed and delivered ice in the winter. Later she lived in Groveland and then in Dansville for 47 years. Many remember Helen as their waitress at the Coffee Cup Restaurant for almost 30 years, or, in later years, walking her dog on West Ave. and Jefferson Street in Dansville. Helen was also predeceased by her brother James W. Eagan of Geneseo, sister Clara Nixon of Caledonia, two infant children, several cousins including Charles L. Owen and Julia Ryan of Dansville. She is survived by her guardian, Nancy Titus Helfrich of Dansville, and by several grandnephews and nieces. Arrangements are by the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main Street, Dansville.
