I remember Irene from fire department dinners years ago at the Union Hose. She was always very nice. My father is also in the Country Lane area at the campus. We would stop in sometimes and chat with her about her paintings. She was a very special lady. So sorry for your loss.

I am saddened to hear the passing of Irene. I work at the Livingston County Nursing home and had the pleasure of seeing her every Tuesday in the beauty shop. My co-worker did her hair and I arranged to have her sister Edna, come at the same time, 2:30 every Tuesday, and I did Edna's hair, so they could visit. It was so cute listening to them converse back and forth, Irene, being the big sister, would always remind Edna that she needs to come EVERY week for her hair appointment, so she would look and feel better! Edna would always agree. But the best part of that conversation would be when Irene would be ready to go back to her room and their goodbyes. They would always say "I love you" to each other, and blow each other a kiss. Irene was a beautiful lady, so prim and proper, always dressed so beautiful with everything matching, including her jewelry, that she so often talked to me about. I will truly miss seeing her each Tuesday and know that God has received a beautiful angel. Thank you for giving me the chance to get to know her.

I was sorry to read of Irene's passing. She was a dear, sweet lady. We shared, in common, being married to a Past Fire Chief of Dansville's Fire Department. There were many good times shared through this bond. My sympathy goes out to her family and friends.
