Obituary of Agnes Clara Wallace

Dansville-Agnes C. Wallace, 87, of Morey Avenue in Dansville passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 after a brief illness. Agnes Clara Mark was born in Dansville on October 17, 1927, a daughter of the late Michael and Martha (Schirmer) Mark. On February 15, 1947, Agnes married Truman William Wallace in Sacred Heart Church in Perkinsville, NY. Truman predeceased her on September 11, 2008. Agnes was also predeceased by her brothers Robert (Leona) Mark and Frederick Mark, her sister Loretta Mark and twin sister Anna Mark Gross. Agnes graduated from Wayland Central School in 1945. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Community and previously a longtime member of Mother’s Circle at St. Mary’s. Agnes and Truman were former members of the Buds and Blossoms Square Dance Club and they enjoyed traveling. Agnes was an avid reader and wonderful homemaker who most dearly treasured her family and friends. Agnes is survived by her five children: William (Nancy) Wallace of Albany, Cheryl (James) Leach of Victor, Kathy (Adrian) Joy, Patricia (Herman) Kreiley, and Donald Wallace of Dansville, brother-in-law Roger (Mary) Wallace of Pinehurst, NC; six grandchildren: Chad (Nancy) Kreiley of Orlando, FL, Lacey (Ron) Roeut and Mark Joy of Charlotte, NC, Mike (Brittany) Joy of Molesworth AFB, England, Katlyn Joy of Dansville, and Connie Joy of Binghamton; and five great-grandchildren: Emma, Riley, Eli, Hannah, and Derek. Friends may call Friday from 4:00-8:00 at Hindle Funeral Home, 271 Main St. in Dansville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 10:00 AM in Sacred Heart Church, Perkinsville.
