Obituary of Richard K. Hamilton

Nunda- Richard K. "Rick" Hamilton age 63, passed away early Saturday morning January 3, 2105, at home. He was born in Warsaw, NY on October 2, 1951, a son of Kenneth and Mary (Mower) Hamilton and was raised by Jack (Mary) Truax. On November 29, 1975, he was married to Constance "Connie" Moore Hamilton who survives. He was predeceased by his father Kenneth and his mother Mary Truax, a son in-law, Joseph Nebrich, and a brother in-law, Kenneth Miller. He was a US Navy veteran serving during Vietnam. Rick was employed at Morton Salt in Silver Springs for nearly 40 years retiring in 2006. He was a member of the Dalton American Legion. He enjoyed working outside in the garden and around his property. He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather and brother. He is survived by his wife Connie, two daughters, Rica Nebrich and Alana Hamilton, both of Avon; a grandson, Aidan Stefaniak; two sisters, Toni (Randy) Noe, Leah Miller; three brothers, John (Cheri) Truax, Randy (Randy Ortell) Truax and Chris Hamilton; his father Jack Truax, and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the Hindle Funeral Home, 271 Main St., Dansville. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00am at the Ossian Presbyterian Church with the Rev. William Ellis officiating. Online remembrances may be left at HindleFuneralHome.com.
