Obituary of Jean Marie Green

Sparta- Jean Green age 75, passed away early Wednesday morning December 24, 2014, at home following a long illness. She was born in Rochester on December 5, 1939, a daughter of the late August and Evangeline (Schlaefer) Vetter. On April 19, 1960, she was married to Robert Green who predeceased her on January 24, 2005. She was also predeceased by several siblings. Jean raised and rescued many Irish Setter's over the years at the home on Liberty Pole Rd. She was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association. She is survived by five sons: Scott (Leona) Green of Sparta, Darryl (Holly) Green and Todd (Colleen) Green of Dansville, Tom Green of Sparta and Robert Green at home; a daughter, Sandra (Dan) Jessmer of Sparta; a daughter in-law Cathy Green; siblings, Joanne Mooney and Marianne (George) Jeremenko, Jerry (Dee) Vetter and Raymond Vetter, sixteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Friends may call Monday from 10:00am to 12:00 noon at the Sparta Center United Methodist Church, where services will follow calling hours. Interment will be in Kiehle cemetery, Sparta, the Hindle Funeral Home, 271 Main St., Dansville has charge of arrangements.. Online remembrances may be left at HindleFuneralHome.com.
