Dansville- Paul J. Totten age 95 passed away early Wednesday morning March 20, 2013, at the Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehab in Mt. Morris. He was born in Willard NY, on February 3, 1918. He was the widower of Marianne Totten who predeceased him on March 14, 1996. Paul was a groundskeeper for Rochester State Hospital for many years retiring in 1975. He was a member of the Frank J. Casbolt VFW and the Daniel Goho Post of the American Legion both of Dansville. He was a US Army WWII veteran serving from 1939 to 1945 with the 76th Field Hospital. He was also a member of the Dansville Fish and Game Club and the NRA. Paul is survived by his daughters, Paula (Stephen) Fahy of Rochester, Mary Lee (Bill) Beierschmitt of Dansville, Kathleen (Peter) Banning of Lowville and Donna Marie Gay. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 2:00pm at the Sparta Center United Methodist Church with the Rev. James Stevens officiating. Interment will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery, South Livonia. Arrangements are by the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St., Dansville. Online remembrances may be left at HindleFuneralHome.com.
