I worked with this wonderful man for 18 years at the Dansville Animal Hospital. He always brightened my morning with his wry humor and sunny smile. I'll never forget how much he "loved" (not) G. W. Bush during his presidency :)
I will treasure his memory, and am so happy for him that he is at peace.
With love, Bev

I first met Uncle Donald at a family reunion around 1997. I was totally impressed with this man. I was proud to be part of this man's family. I made him a "Last Man Standing" nametag to wear. I saw him only one other time,in this century. Now the last of the amazing Monahan men have gone down with their ship, but have risen to a much more glorious ship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. All five brothers served in The Navy in World War II. Sandy, Beth and I had talked about another reunion in New York but it never happened. Now we will have to wait until the hear after. If anyone would like to contact Sandy or myself, please e-mail us at CWSMITHJR@ATT.NET God speed sailor. Charles Smith

Uncle Donald was the most awesome, gentle, humble man and I know he is with angels and my father, Francis. I'll remember him with fond memories, always. God speed.
