Obituary of Betty Jean Gibson

West Sparta- Betty Jean Gibson age 81, passed away Wednesday morning July 2, 2014, at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. She was born in Dansville on September 12, 1932, a daughter of the late John and Ellen (Johnson) Wampole. She was also predeceased by her brother Donald Wampole. Betty was a grape harvester for twelve years at Widmer’s Winery in Naples. She is a graduate of Dansville Central School. She was an active member of the West Sparta United Methodist Church and the United Methodists Women. She enjoyed feeding the birds and gardening. She is survived by her children Thomas (Jo) Gibson of West Sparta and Norma (Jim) McKeown of Nunda, five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren Friends may call Monday from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon at the West Sparta United Methodist Church, where a service will follow calling hours.
