Obituary of Richard Henry Howe

Dansville- Richard Henry Howe age 89, Passed away late Sunday night at the Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation where he had been a resident since December of 2012. He was born in Dansville on March 29, 1925, a son of the late Carl W. and Hazel (Ebersold) Howe. He was also predeceased by a brother Carl Jr., and his wife Betty E. Truax who he was married too on December 11, 1947. Richard was formerly employed at the Blum shoes factory as a shoemaker in Dansville, and as a Janitor at SUNY Geneseo College at Geneseo. He enjoyed Hunting and fishing as well as traveling out west. He is an Army Veteran serving in 1943 as a Laborer. He is survived by his sister Carol (John) Carey of Dansville, as well as many nieces and nephews. Friends may call Wednesday May 21st from 4:00 to 7:00 Pm at the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc. 271 Main St., Dansville. A Graveside service will be held on Thursday May 22nd at 11:00 Am.
