Obituary of Josie Harris

Josie Naomi Harris Lown age 81 passed away early Tuesday morning March 25, 2014, at the Livingston County CFNR in Mt. Morris. She was born in Cuylerville, NY on October 14, 1932, a daughter of the late Oather “Mac” and Beatrice (Kenyon) McKinney. She was predeceased by her long time companion Bart Jacobs. Josie was a member of the Dansville United Methodist Church and attended with her sister Wanda the Sparta Center United Methodist Church for many years. She was a member of the Daniel Goho Post # 87 of The American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. In her free time she enjoyed scrapbooking and crafts. She is survived by a daughter, Nancy (Dana) Herring of Scottsburg; a son, Robert (Fern Bonwell) Harris of Canandaigua; a sister, Wanda (James) Earner of Dansville; two brothers Ronald (Lucy) McKinney of FL, and Roger (Mary) McKinney of Livonia; two grandsons, Aaron Harris and Jonathan Herring, and several very special nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be Friday at 11:00 am in Holy Cross Cemetery, Dansville. Arrangements are by the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St., Dansville.
